  • i-Ready Pledge Sheets
Students committed to doing their best by completing their pledge sheets and setting meaningful goals. The energy in the Multipurpose Room was inspiring as they shared their aspirations and went for their goals!
  • Eagles Spirit Day
The halls were filled with school pride as everyone sported their Eagles gear and cheered each other on.
  • To Do My Best Checklists & Encouragement Cards
Students embraced their checklists, stayed focused, and felt supported by heartfelt encouragement cards from their teachers.
  • Special Gifts from PreK Supporters
Our youngest Eagles made sure everyone felt motivated with thoughtful gifts to keep spirits high.

Ms. Arcieri's Counseling Theme: Positivity

Students explored the concept of positivity, learning its meaning and how to incorporate it into their daily routines and interactions. As part of the lesson, they participated in an engaging classroom activity where they designed 'Positivi-TEA' cups. Each student created a personalized cup that represented their own interpretation of positivity. Additionally, they attached a tea bag tag featuring a positive quote, further reinforcing the theme of optimism and encouragement.

Ms. Cammarata's PreK classes engaged in two special activities just before winter break. For Science, students read the story From Seed to Pine Tree Following the Life Cycle by Susanne Slade. After reading the story, the class explored giant pine cones that were brought up from South Carolina. Each student painted their pine cone green to replicate an evergreen tree.

Ms. Cammarata's class has continued to work on pre-writing and fine motor skills during their graphics practice lessons. Graphics Practice allows students to develop self-regulation by listening to music while writing/drawing a given letter-string or symbol. Students enjoy this activity due to it being a "freeze dance" for writing practice. Last week the students drew candy canes that help write the letter-strings for "f".

A final activity that has recently taken place in Ms. Cammarata's classroom is their Gingerbread House Decorating Party! Parents of the students were invited into the classroom to help their child create a fun gingerbread house the day before winter break. The students loved being able to spend time with their parents in their classroom and share this special activity with them.
