Art Show

The first annual district art show was held at South Hunterdon High School on May 2nd from 6-8pm. Student work from grades Pre-K through 12th grade was on display. It was truly remarkable to observe the talent and creativity that is evident in all grade levels!

Dr. Miller

The staff gathered to celebrate Mr. Miller's doctoral graduation by wearing white. Here is a picture of our crew. In May, Middle on Location also celebrated Principal Appreciation Day. Students and staff created a meaningful gift of fingerprints.

This unique painting, created with the fingerprints of both students and staff, serves as a heartfelt tribute for Principal Appreciation Day. Each fingerprint represents a personal connection while the individual imprints remind us of the lasting impact. Thank you, Dr. Miller!

Guest Visitors

Career Corner

In 5th grade, Mrs.Onuskanich came to visit and shared information about her career “ Director of Research and Development Program Management”. Mrs. O shared important themes in her career that relate to school related subjects.

Students were able to ask questions related to medicine and were very motivated to learn more. Students asked questions and had a discussion about how related topics and skills that they are learning are used in various careers, such as organization, time management, collaboration, communication and more.

Guest Reader

Preschool also had a guest reader. One of our student's mothers came in to read a Pete the Cat story. Students shared experiences and worked together to create puppets. Students enjoyed creating Pete the Cat paper bag puppets.

Collado Chicks!
The Collado Eaglets became parents this spring to four beautiful chicks just in time for Easter!

We were very careful with the incubator, knowing it was acting as a "mom" to our eggs. However, all students said good morning and good evening because we wanted the chicks inside the eggs not to be afraid and know we were there.

Over the course of two days, four out of six eggs hatched and were moved to a brooding cage. Of course, our new classmates needed toys, so we chose some of our favorites to share with them!

It was very special for the Collado Eaglets to learn how to hold and touch the chicks gently. The chicks are now back on their farm, and the farmers report to us that they are certainly the smartest chicks in the flock!

Eaglets Having Fun in the Rain!

Ms. Collado's kids had a blast playing in the puddles after the rain. With splashes and giggles, they jumped in the water, their little boots creating ripples as they ran around. Students enjoyed taking turns jumping around in the rain!

Level Up! Testing Edition

This year’s NJSLA testing theme was "Level Up," encouraging students to challenge themselves and strive for their best videogame edition. To build excitement, students and staff participated in a spirit week the week before the test. Each day represented a different focus.

As an added incentive, students were treated to a sweet surprise each day to help spread positivity and motivation.
  • You were MINT to succeed:Mints
  • Wishing you good LUCK on the test: lucky charms
  • On a HOT STREAK: hot chocolate
  • KISS the test goodbye: chocolate kisses
This combination of school spirit and sweet treats helped energize students as they prepared to "level up" and do their best on the NJSLA. Thank you to all those who participated.
