Our middle school students did an incredible job in their production of 13 the Musical! Students in grades five through eight worked collaboratively over the past several weeks, showing dedication, teamwork, and talent every step of the way.

From learning lines and songs to building confidence on stage, their growth was evident throughout the process. The energy and enthusiasm they brought to each rehearsal carried into a fantastic final performance. Their hard work truly paid off and made our entire school community proud.

SHRMS was thrilled to welcome students for Bring Your Child to Work Day! Visitors had the chance to step into the middle school experience, joining classes, engaging in activities, and seeing firsthand what a typical day looks like.

It was great to share our school community and showcase the learning, creativity, and connections that make SHRMS such a special place. Thank you to all who participated—we loved having you with us for the day!

Abilities Week was a meaningful and engaging time at SHRMS as we celebrated the unique strengths and talents of every student. Throughout the week, students participated in activities that promoted inclusion, empathy, and understanding.

From thoughtful discussions to interactive experiences, it was inspiring to see our school community come together to support and uplift one another. Abilities Week was a great reminder that while we are all different, each of us brings something valuable to our school. Each day, students celebrated inclusion, check out some of the special activities.

Signing Together: Building Awareness Through Connection

A bright yellow bulletin board displays the alphabet with letters A-Z, each in a blue frame with a small illustration.

Ronny, one of our 7th grade students, worked alongside Mrs. Ford our SLP, to create an interactive bulletin board for Abilities Week focused on sign language. Their collaboration brought a creative and meaningful way for students to engage, learn new signs, and build awareness. It was great to see student leadership and initiative shine while promoting inclusion and communication across our school community. Students enjoyed trying to create messages with friends using sign language.

Beautifully Unique, Strong Together: A Celebration of Abilities

A colorful bulletin board features flower-like art made from children's handprints, with the words 'BEAUTIFULLY UNIQUE, STRONG TOGETHER'.

Middle school students collaborated to design and create a vibrant bulletin board for Abilities Week, each contributing uniquely decorated hand cutouts. Together, the hands were arranged to form a blooming flower, symbolizing unity and growth within our school community.

The display carried the powerful message “Beautifully Unique, Strong Together,” reminding everyone that our differences make us stronger when we come together. It was a meaningful and creative project that beautifully captured the spirit of Abilities Week. Thank you Eagles!

Seventh Grade Science

Our 7th grade science students got to interview a friend of Mr. Vorgity’s who received CAR-T cell therapy as a treatment for his bone cancer. Students came up with different interview questions to ask him.

Congratulations to all of our students for their hard work, dedication, and awesome achievement—keep it up Eagles!

Way to go—keep it up! We can’t wait to see who gets caught doing something awesome next week.
