Honor Roll Students

Congratulations to the students who made the honor roll during the first marking period! View the list of students honored HERE.

World DIabetes Day

November 14th, 2024: Shiloh Toone, one of our 5th grade students shared a presentation on Type 1 Diabetes. Shiloh was supported by her peer Cible Watson and one of our eagle ambassadors Victoria Martino on morning announcements sharing facts about Type 1 Diabetes. Ms. Arcieri and nurse Witt supported her in sharing her story to her classmates. This student encouraged staff and students to participate in wearing blue to represent world diabetes day.

Shiloh would also like to thank Ms. Isabella for letting her share her Type 1 Diabetes presentation during ELA. Shiloh created a six-slide presentation on her own to educate her peers on all the things related to Type 1 Diabetes. Students were engaged during her presentation and were able to learn more about this disease through various activities such as coloring pages, word searches and leading questions concluding the presentation. We applaud this student in sharing her story and sharing information about Type1 diabetes. Way to go Shiloh!

Gratitude Lesson

November: This month, our school counseling lesson focused on the theme of gratitude, and our students had the opportunity to explore how gratitude plays a vital role in our lives. Our 5th grade students had a wonderful time buddying up with our preschool friends, sharing and discussing the things they are grateful for. Meanwhile, the 6th graders visited the preschoolers to read Gratitude is My Superpower and participated in a fun activity where they created "super turkeys." Each turkey featured a superhero cape, representing the unique ways gratitude can be a superpower in their lives.

It was heartwarming to see our 5th and 6th grade students engaging with their preschool buddies, creating meaningful connections, and spreading gratitude throughout the school. These activities not only highlighted the importance of gratitude but also helped build strong, positive relationships between students of all ages.

It was a memorable experience that truly showcased the power of gratitude in bringing our school community closer together.

Eagle Ambassadors

Socks for Smiles: The Eagle Ambassadors have been working diligently to collect donations for our Socks for Smiles program.

They've been encouraging our school community to contribute socks through morning announcements and have rallied each homeroom to gather as many socks as possible. To add some friendly competition, students are also competing against staff to see which homeroom can collect the most socks. We’ve been tracking the progress with a bar graph displayed in the hallway.

Stay tuned to find out who will come out on top – will it be the students, or will the staff take the lead?

Clothing Drive Pick-Up:  Our Eagle Ambassadors have been working diligently, showcasing both gratitude and leadership in meaningful ways. Recently, they assisted in loading donations onto the truck for the clothing drive at the middle school. A heartfelt thank you to our school community for their generous contributions to this important cause.

Middle School Dance

It was a nice to remember! Thank you to the PTO for providing the water, chips, pretzel trays, and a cotton candy machine. The photo booth was a huge hit and the DJ kept kids singing and dancing all night! They Macarena’d, cotton-eye Joe’d, and even conga-lined! They all dressed to impress and really enjoyed themselves.

Special thanks to Ms. Benzinger and the student council for planning a great event.
